Well I hope you all had a great Christmas.
I usually take this whole festive period as a long vacation and don’t come back online until the New Year but I wanted to see how much money I had made while I was offline enjoying myself.

Many of the ’scammy’ sales websites made available by most of the ‘auto money website’ opportunities will now be REMOVED from Google!

At last, someone has taken a stand against the tooth whitener ad menace. It’s no tiny or obscure ad network: it’s Google. The company has decided to live up to its “don’t be evil” motto and ban advertisers who place ads that lead to sites peddling products like scammy free trials, get-rich-quick schemes, and malware. Previously, they would ban individual ads, but not advertisers. This was akin to playing a massive game of whack-a-mole with thousands of identical “local moms” who had identified the secret to weight loss. Or tooth whitening. Or stretch marks. Or…
Chadwick Matlin at The Big Money explains:
“Up until now Google has taken action against ads, not advertisers. If an ad violated one of Google’s terms of use, the search giant would take it out of circulation, but that’s it. Google briefed TBM on its new policy: It will now ban the advertiser, not the ad, effectively neutering the advertiser’s ability to shift from one ad and shell site to another. Think of it like the struggle between the police and a graffiti vandal. Up until now Google has only been erasing the tags after they’ve been put up. Going forward, they’re going to take away his spray cans and put a GPS collar on him, making sure he never does it again. It would be a principled stand by any company, but especially by Google because of its position in the market.”
The problem with permanent advertiser bans is that it can lead to false-positives, but this is a promising start on Google’s part.

What Google’s decision will do is REMOVE most of our competitors with their ‘auto websites’ and open the market for professional WEB HARVESTERS.

It has been a couple of days since my last post to this blog, and there has been a good reason for my skipping my daily posts.

Setting up your monetised website is the easy bit. Now how do you get it to generate income?
If you pay any attention to some of the ‘gurus’ all you need to do is build a site the way they tell you to (after paying them a lot of money!) and the visitors will flood to your site eager to buy whatever you are selling.
But it doesn’t quite work like that does it?
How many ‘automatic cash systems’ and ‘push button riches’ opportuities are there out there promising to make you a fortune? And how many of these REALLY work and make the promised money to the people who buy them?
Hmmm, probably about NONE because they are just recycling old ideas that may have worked once but not any more.
Today’s internet users are a bit more savvy than before. People know that there are lots of free resources and information on a whole range of things and will look for those first. Why pay for something if there is free information on the same subject?
Lets take just one example. Many ‘automatic cash systems’ I have investigated will set you up with your own site promoting weight loss information. Great, massive market. BUT… see how many people already have sites promoting the same thing? Then see how much FREE information is being given away on the same subjects? Very few ‘newbies’ to the market will ever get a return on the money they spent on the system never mind make profit from it.
So what is the key to making money?
Well like anything else that is worthwhile the answer is not easy. There are no magic formulas. You have to do a bit of work and build things up slowly if you are to be successful. If that idea puts you off then you have 2 options available to you .
1. Quit and keep to your ‘real’ job.
2. Ignore me and go on spending money on ideas that will never work.

OK, so maybe you have what it takes to become successful. Now for the hard work.
Firstly you need to choose your market carefully. What are you going to sell and who are the people that will want to buy it?
Try and find a niche market that has enough people looking for it but not so many that you will never ever get a good placing in the search engines for your own site. This one task is probably the most important of all so don’t rush it.
When you have your niche you need to build a website and optimise it for your main keywords, the keywords that will bring you enough traffic to build your business but still allow you a good search engine placing (so probably not the main search terms for your product!).
These 2 jobs can take inexperienced people a few days to complete. Don’t rush the job, do it properly however long it takes you. A bad job will waste your time and money. Better not to do it at all than to do a bad job of these 2 stages.
Submit your website to the major search engines. This step is the easiest. If you have completed the 2 previous stages properly then your site will start to show up in google (often on page 1 for your chosen keywords) within a few weeks.
Build a mailing list. If you have attracted interested visitors why just let them go? Even if they don’t buy your main product or products right away you should try and get their details by offering a free product or report if they join your mailing list or subscribe to your newsletter. This will allow you to inform them of future site updates or offers you may make and will give you a second, third or fourth chance to sell your product to them. It is all about numbers at the end of the day.
Include google adsense ads on your website. Even if your visitors do not buy from you they may see an ad that catches their attention and click on the link to find out more, and you get paid for the click by google.
Market your website in other ways. In addition to search engine submissions you should consider article marketing. If you can write simple articles on your subject you can get additional links to your website and draw in more potential customers. Also consider advertising exchanges where your ad can be seen on other peoples websites and have proven a good way of drawing in potential customers on my own websites. There are numerous other ways, but these are a good starting point.
In a few paragraphs here I have briefly gone over the main tasks of getting yourself a profitable website. Obviously there is more work involved in each stage than I can cover here, but those are the principle tasks for you to complete.

Among the good and workable programs I have reviewed and recommended on this site several of them include or can be run by operating your own blog site.
Whether you are going to run a personal blog and add google adsense to the pages to monetise it, or build a series of blog sites to promote specific products, the one thing that will take up the majority of your time will be writing posts for your blogs.
Lets say, for example, you choose 6 products or services to promote. You have researched your market and selected the specific keywords to target, you have registered a domain name and ordered hosting. You have created your blog site from the free software provided by your hosting company, and you start building the blog to promote the products or services you chose.
To get yourself a decent position in google (where most of the free targetted traffic will come from) you will need to post regular and relevant articles or posts on your site. Do you know enough about writing or about several different products or services to write at least one new post or article on each of them each day?
Probably not.
Neither do I but it does not stop me from getting my blog based sales sites up into high rankings with google and yahoo and receiving around 300 targetted hits every day to each one.
How? I use a word press plug in for my blog sites (Only works with wordpress blogs!) that searches for articles about my chosen subjects and containing my chosen keywords, and publishes them to my blog site as often as I want it to. I can select the frequency of the posts it makes from every 6 hours to every 30 days, but I usually go for one every 24 hours which is more than enough to keep the site full of ‘fresh’ content.
One example of a site using this plug in is www.justcures.com . I have set this up solely for the purpose of demonstrating the effectiveness of this plug in. It is not something I intended to do any work on or expected anything from but it still pulls in hundreds of visitors a day from google and creates a reasonable income from affiliate sales and google adsense.
I have selected the keywords I wanted to aim for, set the frequency of the updates, and that was it. The plug in does all of the updates for me. All I do is check how many visitors I have received and how much money it has generated for me each day. Simple.
And more, you can also use it to update Amazon products for sale on your site, and a whole range of other updates, to keep your site fresh and monetised. However in this example site I have only used the Article Autoposter part of the plug in but it more than demonstrates the effectiveness.
